Examples of remote-sensed data by instrument

Each type of instrument has different capabilities. Hence the type of information that can be obtained from each is somewhat different. The first set of examples illustrate these capabilities:

However, the instruments are not an end by themselves, at least not in meteorology. Observing and understanding weather phenomena is what we are interested in, and each remote sensor may provide a piece of the puzzle. In this set of examples, we study different phenomena with our instruments:
